This is the sad, terrible (storm) story of a young girl named Amanda Todd, who committed suicide on 10 October 2012 after years of being tormented her peers.

Listen for the ones nobody wants to hear.”

That storm inside can lead us down many different paths. I am so sorry for Amanda and am praying for her family. I understand, unfortunately, how bullying and sexual abuse can tear a person up inside and lead to horrific outcomes…and rip families apart. I only wish I knew how to tell the story I’ve lived in such a way that would make people listen. I applaud Amanda, along with her family, for making a video explaining her struggles with the hope it will make a difference for others.
God understands her struggle, her torment, her despair…and why she did what she did. He is gracious…most especially to the downtrodden. We can hope in Him. I pray her parents will find comfort in Him.
This was hard to watch, but I thank you…
Her heart had a story.
Nobody listened.
Perhaps, one day in the distant future, when another child suffers such tornent, Amanda’s Storm Story will lead somebody to listen…
Thank you for sharing Amanda’s story, so we can hear it now and listen for others before they commit suicide. Thank you and God bless you, Nor. Praying now for our young people and against what they are bombarded with each day.
The more I think about her storm strory, Debbie, the more I realize she was just a young girl who wanted to be loved and accepted. Instead, she saw the worst of humanity as the mob mentality reared its ugly head, while foaming at the mouth, in all that online torment that soon led to her physical torture, where she got beat up and thrown in a ditch. It makes me sad to see such things, but it also makes me very angry to realize that kids can be so cruel. There will come a time, I hope, when those kids who tormented Amanda Todd may yet learn precisely what it is they have done. And when that time does come…
…God help them.
