Storm Stories

The Series. Thoughout January of 2009 there were forty-four posts (including the prologue) by thirty contributors who proved that believers need not weep alone, that we are all in this together, and that there is a great liberation in telling our tales of tough times together.

The Logo.  To add to your Storm Story post, drag the photo to your desktop and upload like a photo.

can’t seem to copy and paste..the stupid snap keeps interfering..or I am too dumb to know how to by pass it! try again later

  2. on December 15, 2008 at 11:00 am TheNorEaster

I put up the other sizes. One of them should work.

I just selected the text, paste, and copy it onto a widget. The “small size” worked for my blog.

every time I try to copy..the snap is popping up and interfering..no patience today…try again later

“If at first you don’t succeed, ask someone else to do it for you.”

    That’s my secret!

    Like Darla, I cannot get
SnapShots to disable. I click on the disable button and then save and then reload, but it is tenacious.
Did you insert ‘hyperlink’? If so, maybe you could take that out?

  6. on December 17, 2008 at 6:39 pm TheNorEaster

    1. I have no idea what a “snapshot” is.

    2. I do not know what a “hyperlink” is, either.

    3. And I’m afraid I didn’t even make the widget thingy.

    4. I’ll send an e-mail to the resident techie of Blog-Land and ask if there is anything that can be done.

    5. Sorry about all this.

  7. on December 18, 2008 at 4:27 am TheNorEaster

Mr. Resident Techie said for me to disable the “snapshot” feature on my blog. So I did.

And he said that should take care of it. So it should.

Let me know how it works out.

  8. on December 18, 2008 at 6:43 pm darla

okay I could get it to link, but it had no pic…sooo back to the beggining for me…

Oh Yeah…how come I am blocked from your posts..my old password don’t work…yeah i can take a hint

  9. on December 19, 2008 at 2:00 am TheNorEaster

Visibiliity should still be the same, Darla.

As to the others, heh… “What is that to you?” ;)

(John 21:23. Get it? )

Got it to work – eventually. :-) Had to keep reminding myself of Michelle’s wise words: “He would have worked alongside His father as a carpenter. On occassion He must have hit his thumb.”

  11. on December 21, 2008 at 11:31 pm TheNorEaster

Hey, Alan! Thanks for using the widget! I just sent you an e-mail about the whole thing. (And we both know Michelle has her share of wise words.)

I just stopped by your site, Alan. Have you tried using the “thumbnail” size? That might work better. (But I kind of like the way it jumps off the page! Literally!)

  12. on December 27, 2008 at 8:48 pm HW

I tried and failed, but I’ll try to add it again later!

  13. on December 29, 2008 at 6:08 pm TheNorEaster

I sent you the original e-mail with the original html, Heidi. That usually works when people have trouble with the codes.

  14. on December 29, 2008 at 8:40 pm Dale Hill

    Okay.
I’ve put in every one of your widget thingys, and all i get is a huge box that jumps off the page, and no photo.
I click in the empty box and it tries to take me to your site, but then dumps me into “cannot display this page.”
I’ve done it this morning, this afternoon, and this evening, but to no avail.
Somebody has it, ’cause I’ve seen it!!

I’ll try again tomorrow, and see if it’s just the system, blog boogie men, or what.

  15. on December 29, 2008 at 10:12 pm TheNorEaster

    Dale:

I’ll send you the original e-mail with the actual html. That should work. I really don’t know what’s going on with the codes I put up.

  16. on January 3, 2009 at 6:44 pm Ashley

Can I get the original html too cuz mine isn’t workin either…

  17. on January 19, 2009 at 9:28 am gchyayles

I have been trying to add it but it won’t work…will keep trying….love ya!
